Spring Cleaning

Posted by Randy Aimone | Jun 15, 2010 2:01:00 AM

We know Spring is almost over over, but here is a way to do a little house cleaning.

If you look in your company data files in Windows Explorer, you will probably see many files with a wrk#####.m4t, such as:

SO_SalesOrderWrkTLM120304040.m4t or

AR_StatementWRKCSO393030839.m4t

These are temp files left by Sage after users have previewed a Sales Order or Statement. There are many more types of these out there and they can add up to using a lot of space. We recently removed over 3 Gig from one company.

To remove, do a search for *wrk*0*.m4t files in your company data files. Be sure to review all found records before deleting. If you're not sure you should delete something, contact Oates and Company for further assistance.
