Sage 100 ERP’s upgrade to the 2014 version is projected to be available in March 2014. This release connects businesses to the cloud, providing them with better web access and stronger mobile capabilities. Sales and service professionals will now be able to access customer information, send invoices, and collect payments – all while in the field. Inventory management has been upgraded with a feature that provides more in-depth visibility, and things like invoicing are now electronic, with only problems and special circumstances requiring manual attention.
Some of the enhanced features of Sage 100 ERP 2014 include:
Global Enhancements
- Autocomplete – this feature allows you to search for and find customers, vendors, and items without typing the whole name
- Custom reports – before the 2014 Sage 100 ERP edition, custom report windows automatically closed after printing or previewing. Those windows now remain open.
- Improved searches – the search grid window has changed the default value in the column name field, making searching easier and faster.
Accounts Payable and Account Receivable Enhancements
- Improved searches – a new flashlight feature allows users to search through invoices, including old invoices, new invoices, and repetitive invoices.
General Ledger Enhancements
- General Ledger functionality now allows the Print Financials Reports window to remain open after print and print preview.
Sage Intelligence
- Simpler installation – Sage Intelligence is not installed during the Sage 100 ERP implementation.
- Easier access – Sage Intelligence is now accessible directly from Sage 100 ERP via toolbars and tabs.
- Better support for Excel – Sage Intelligence is now compatible with both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Excel.
- Ease of use – the user interface, report designer, report manager, and report viewer have all been adjusted to improve user experience.
Sage CRM
- Better integration – Sage CRM’s integration with Sage 100 ERP 2014 is now stable and seamless.
- More customizability – the new stability allows for customizations to each system to improve workflow.
- More versatility – users can now use Windows 8 tablets, Facebook, and a “Sales
- Lite” feature that allows for information updating when out of coverage.
